After the toilet paper fiasco happened, Carson apologized and thought that all of this was behind him. But he was wrong, a portable toilet company wanted to use the catchphrase “Here’s Johnny” which was used to introduce Johnny in his show. Carson wasn’t happy about it at, and in 1977 he sued them, and after 10 years he won the legal rights for his catchphrase. The toilet manufacturer is still trying to to get it, to this day.
