As you can probably guess, Carson had a tendency to irritate people in the worst possible way. In one of his shows, Carson impersonated Fred Rogers, AKA the beloved Mr. Rogers. But Carson’s portrayal of Mr. Rogers wasn’t flattering at all, he played an evil version of Rogers who wants to encourage children to steal money from their parents. Rogers wasn’t happy about this impression, to say the least. Eventually, Carson apologized.
