Subtitles are a very useful addition to tv shows and movies, especially when you have people on screen who are speaking more than one language. However, the subtitles aren’t particularly useful when they don’t bother to translate those other languages! Will we ever find out what exactly this chef wanted to talk about? Or will we just have to look at the dish once it’s finished and guess?

Unless you’re a native Korean speaker it might forever remain a mystery. Looks like the transcriber was feeling a little lazy that day and thought no one would notice this mistake. Well, people definitely did! Maybe they should have put the phrase into Google translate, or at least ask around the office to see if anyone else understood Korean.
