Cli was given daily hormone injections to speed up her body’s ability to produce viable eggs, and after 10 days the eggs were extracted. Using Andy’s sperm, the lab fertilized eggs before returning them to Cli. They then had to wait an agonizing two weeks to find out if the treatment had succeeded.
