Down $16,000 in savings, the couple turned to the National Health Services and try the funded-treatment, which required a very significant wait.

After 9 months on a waiting list, she finally had another egg fertilized by Andy’s sperm, in June 2016.
The couple were less confident this time, as only a single egg was viable, and felt the odds stacked against them. Again, they were met with crushing news, and left again without answers. But just 3 months later, tragedy would strike from another place.
