Cli McBratney and husband Andy from Belfast, Northern Ireland had dreamed of having children, almost since they first met. Cli certainly felt the maternal drive when she met Andy, and after their nuptials at a hotel spa in Galway, they were ready to jump straight in.

However, after a year of trying and failing, they knew that it was worth looking into what was going on. After a number of tests, they found that Cli only had a single working ovary, and Andy had a very low sperm count. Cli had believed something was up from her erratic periods, so it didn’t come as too much of a shock.
