Christmas Was so Much Better in the 80’s

Posted by Tali

New Year, Same Wrapping Paper

Nowadays there are so many options for gift wrapping at your local mall and most stores will even do it for you, hardly anyone still wraps their own gifts these days. But growing up in the 80’s nothing, absolutely nada was wasted when it came to wrapping paper.

New Year, Same Wrapping Paper

Our dear mothers would reuse the same festive-patterned paper and ribbons for years, and it was fun to recognize it each year.

We were always instructed to be extra careful when opening gifts as to not ruin the precious paper so it could be saved and packed away after the holiday along with the Christmas decorations.
