The History of Black Friday

Posted by Josh

Black Friday Goes International

Though some of the chaos even nowadays has subsided in the US during Black Friday, the same can’t be said for a number of countries that have caught on to the shopping craze, and brought it home in their new way. In Romania alone, an online retailer found that 11 out of 20 million Romanians know about Black Friday, and almost 7 plan to buy things.

Black Friday Goes International

The UK recently brought Black Friday mainstream, as it only really started in the 2010’s, when companies offered American Black Friday deals. By 2015, it would be the country’s biggest shopping day. Canadians and the Dutch also came up with their own version, though in neither state is it as big a craze as in the US.
