Reading in bed is a common habit for many of us, but how can you do it if you don’t feel like sitting up to read?  These glasses used mirrors that would allow you to read without elevating your head. However, they were awkward to wear and weren’t even functional at the time they were invented.

These glasses use mirrors and ordinary frames, allowing you to lay in bed and continue reading without elevating your head. But the device didn’t really contribute to an enjoyable reading experience, which is why it never really caught on.
