Weirdest Inventions From The Past

Hangover Mask

You come home from a long night at the bar and realize that you’ve forgotten that life-saving glass of water after drinking all that booze. Now a hangover is inevitable, or is it?   While everyone has their own remedy that they swear by, here’s one interesting solution that we’re sure you’ve never heard of.

Forget thinking outside the box, this “Hangover Mask” completely removes the box from the equation. Designed by the cosmetics company Max Factor in the 1940s, is was made to help soothe the faces of actresses from bright studio light without smudging their makeup. Covered with ice cubes, the freezer-friendly headpiece was eventually repurposed for its current nickname “the Hangover Mask”.
