Back in the 30’s many people were bedridden due to various illnesses. Without smartphones or computers, you can imagine how tedious it was to lay in bed all day doing nothing. That’s why in 1935 someone decided to invent a piano that could be played from your bed, as a way to entertain those who were immobile. Nowadays we’re lucky to have much more practical things to keep us occupied when we can’t get up.
