She’s famous for being a sex symbol, but she was a lot more than that. Monroe was also an actress, model, and singer. In 1954, she even founded her own production company named Marilyn Monroe Productions. Her career was short, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t make big money. By the time she died in 1962 after a decade of acting, her movies had already grossed 200 million dollars!

She’s had a massive influence on show business and many female celebrities still try to imitate her to this day. Even though she died over 50 years ago, she’s still considred the ultimate sex symbol.
