Cyclists have to deal with a lot of strife on the road, from reckless drivers to people who don’t respect the bike lane. This sign was attempting to remedy that problem, and let people know how important it is that bike riders have their own space. As for the execution here, well, it’s the thought that counts? Though that might be a difficult thing for bike riders to keep in mind when they have to swerve to avoid this sign.

Whoever thought the best placement for this sign was smack in the middle of the bike lane needs to be fired. Or at least go through some kind of ‘common sense’ training course so they don’t make more mistakes like this in the future.
