A Glorious Surprise

But after the two weeks had gone by, they got a positive result on the pregnancy. Knowing what they had been through in the last decade, they couldn’t get their hopes up. But this time there was something slightly different. This time doctors detected a heartbeat, and as Jen went through morning sickness, and they found out the child was a boy, the couple realized their prayers had been answered, and the pregnancy was a success.

The birth wasn’t a sure thing, so much so that they didn’t buy anything until right before, having failed so many times before. But even when Jen went into labor, they weren’t out of the woods  yet.
