The IVF clinic had even offered them a free treatment, being voted the best couple, but even that failed, and the pregnancy being ectopic (in an abnormal position), Jen’s fallopian tubes had to be removed, meaning she would never naturally conceive. They had run out of money for IVF, and their last hope were several frozen embryos from their last round of IVF.

It would take months for the lining of her womb to be thick enough again to attempt another IVF, and finally as they went through the process, they waited painstakingly to find out if this time would be different. But their time had come, and this time was different.
