Idiotic People Get Exposed Online
We see dumb people everywhere. They’re all over the place. We’re pretty sure that the internet is where they both come from and live. For every snappy and quick-witted poster online, there are at least a few hundred thousand people that get confused just from waking up in the morning. Nobody’s sure how they get access to a computer, but they do and we’re stuck with all the silly thoughts and weirdness that they think is completely normal. While it can be funny and a bit endearing, sometimes it can be maddening how dumb some people are. It can be so bad that someone else needs to swoop in and save everyone, including the original poster, from the stupidity spreading. Take a look at some of the dumbest people to ever be exposed online!
Deaf People Can Still See
Losing a sense can be devastating. Imagine being a baker but not being able to taste. What would you do if you made perfumes but couldn’t spell? How bad would your life be if you were a musician that lost the ability to see? Wouldn’t that ruin music for you forever? What? Sound isn’t registered through your eyes?
This one post is all kinds of weird. Okay, fine, maybe it’s just this dude. Someone needs to go back and review their kindergarten lessons before calling other people idiots. Deafness affects ears. Blindness affects eyes. Those are different parts of the body that don’t normally interact. Sure, they work together, but they’re entirely separate senses that do different things.
How Is This Even A Thing?
When people don’t realize they’re doing something, it’s usually not a big deal. Start pointing it out and they get all freaky about it. The definition of a pronoun is “a word that can function by itself as a noun phrase and that refers either to the participants in the discourse (e.g., I, you ) or to someone or something mentioned elsewhere in the discourse (e.g., she, it, this )”.
That’s it. “You”, “He”, “She”, “It”, “This”. They’re all words most English-speakers use every day without even thinking about it. The entire issue with people wanting their own pronouns now means people have to learn proper grammar. That’s already an uphill battle. Good luck committing to this promise, Lavern.
It’s A Safety System, That’s Why
One of the reasons the world “bounced” back from the pandemic as quickly as it did was because people understood you needed to do more than wear masks. You have to wear masks and maintain distance. You have to do all these things but still stay inside whenever possible. That’s how people stayed safe before the vaccines.
It’s simple, effective, and works. Since it’s so simple and effective, that means someone is bound to get confused. What happens when dumb people get confused? They go online and start posting weird memes like this. Thanks for taking the bullet for us all The Sarcastic Jerk. Some people need things spelled out from time to time.
It’s A Work Of Fiction
Game of Thrones captivated the world for a few years. If it ever gets finished, it may captivate even more people. One of the coolest parts of the show was seeing how detailed and horrifying the dragons turned out to be. Don’t tell anyone, but we have a secret: the dragons weren’t real.
We hear the dragons booking fees were too expensive and their schedules too complicated. The show had to create some CGI ones in their place. While they look totally real, they’re actually not. Once word got out about this, some fans were in disbelief. Sorry but were they under the impression someone had a stable of flying hell-beasts somewhere just looking for acting work?
Dial It Back A Bit, Pete
Geography can be tough for some people. Some can read maps and remember countries and others can’t. Fine, everyone’s good at different things. With that said, most people can tell the difference between Niagara Falls and Nigeria. A huge hint that they’re different places is that they’re spelled with similar, but different, letters. There are only twenty-six, so some are bound to be repeated every now and then.
Pete’s probably never been to Nigeria (though he knows it’s more than 500 km from his house) and clearly never referred to Niagara Falls by its shortening before. He definitely falls into the category of people who have no idea what’s going on. To really make sure he can’t be saved from this blowup, he completely attacks this poor girl for being fake. If only he knew that they were different places, it could have been love. Do you think he knows Africa isn’t a country? It’s a continent Pete!
Thank Goodness Neither Are Parents
Pregnancy scares happen. That’s just a thing that occurs when two people, in the height of passion, forget how to use their brains. So that nobody is surprised in nine months, pregnancy tests were invented! Now expectant families, single parents, and whoever else may need one, can see whether or not they actually are with-child. Positive results on all kinds of tests can lead to lots of different reactions from the parties involved. Pregnancy, COVID, STIs, you name it.
FYI this isn’t a pregnancy test. This sensible girl notified someone she was recently with that, unfortunately, her test result is something that may affect them too. The genius she chose to spend her evening with, however, wasn’t quite on board with her thinking. Maybe he hasn’t taken many tests himself before? Maybe he needs a lesson in how quickly pregnancies appear too? We’re pleased this guy couldn’t get anyone pregnant, that vasectomy was a great investment. Also, again, to clarify, this is a COVID test.
You Stop Harassing The Baby!
People love to post about their kids on social media. While that’s a whole problem in and of itself (especially when pictures are involved), it’s kind of nice to brag about your kiddos sometimes. The only problem with that is once your opinion about your own kids is out there, others will jump right on top of it! Some people will even label your kid in whatever way they see fit just based on their appearance!
One parent posted a pic of her daughter and someone immediately thought she had Down Syndrome! After the mom explained that she doesn’t, the woman shot back that the mom was out of line! She even accused the MOM of harassing her OWN DAUGHTER by saying that she DOESN’T have Down Syndrome. Welcome to the internet. Does your head hurt yet?
Are Men Still Confused About This?
Women are incredible humans. They’re not some nether-dwelling creatures with universe-breaking anatomy. Many anatomy courses and programs have no problem explaining and teaching about the different functions of a woman’s body. That hasn’t helped some men, who appear to still be completely confused about even the most basic and intimate of things.
Many highly educated men will even ask their female friends stupidly odd questions like, “How do you pee while on your period?”. These are also the kind of men that go on to make damaging legislation because they understand nothing. More women should definitely be involved in the decision making process. And this guy should definitely stick to engineering.
A Horrible And Scary Reality
Topics such as body autonomy, independence, and the freedom to choose one’s own destiny are usually major themes in dystopian and sci-fi stories. Well, since all fiction is based on fact, we have a sobering reminder for everyone: a lot of those themes are taken from the news. Unfortunately, we live in a society where some doctors will refuse to let a woman choose how to manage her own body.
Some states in the US will even refuse to treat someone who wants to get their tubes tied if they haven’t had kids yet. Apparently, if a woman hasn’t “fulfilled” her role of giving birth to a man’s children, then she can’t choose how to manage her body. Is this real? Yeah, and it’s horrifyingly upsetting.
There Are Two Types Of People
Whenever people are split into two categories, they always want to know which group is “better”. In the world of data management, that’s not important. Both groups of data, people, or whatever, are equally important. If you don’t know the difference between complete or incomplete data sets, then neither really matters.
That’s the entire point of this shirt. Unfortunately, some students failed to catch on to the clever joke. Imagine being an advanced stats student and not understanding a t-shirt pun. Imagine just being a normal person and not getting that this is a joke. That’s at least two people getting a FAIL in this course. Remember kids, just because you’re in school doesn’t make you smart.
Not All Degrees Are Equal
Growing up, a lot of us were told to go to university or college to get a degree. These magical pieces of paper would unlock entire universes of opportunities, work, and accolades. That was a lie. A lot of jobs do indeed require a degree. Others just need some general know-how and skill. Repairing highly sensitive and delicate electromechanical equipment probably falls into the first category.
There are many judgmental people in the world that don’t fully understand what a uniform at work may mean for your prior education. You may end up being accosted by an ignorant man failing to teach their child a lesson. They may think that since you’re “fixing” something you’re not smart. While silence and ignoring stupidity is usually the best course, Mark realized educating others can be a bit more satisfying. Electro-mechanics sounds like something worth studying to us!
The Proof Is Called A Skeleton
There are a surprising amount of processes going on to keep our bodies running at any given time. Even something as simple as walking and standing upright took generations of evolution to reach its current state. Dinosaurs also went through this process. Of course, most are dead and buried now. After even more time, humans discovered dinosaur bones and started placing them in museums for people to learn about the past.
Some of these dinosaur deniers never took basic anatomy class in school. That left them confused about how skeletons can stay together apparently! They’re not even sure their own bodies aren’t held together by wires and prayer. Nobody tell them about cartilage and muscles!
Are People Still Confused About This?
Mask mandates were a scary and somewhat annoying thing during the height of the pandemic. Eventually, we all got used to them since protecting the world is more important than a bit of discomfort while we’re out and about. That still hasn’t stopped some people from making their opinions about them known, even if it’s completely false.
Some armchair medical experts will even criticize people for doubling up on masks to be extra safe. That’s when actual experts need to jump in and show them how wrong they are. Not only did this ER doc set the record straight, but they even tried to diagnose the original poster with a bad case of stupid.
Seller’s Remorse Can Be Tough
Selling a computer or other piece of expensive tech can be a tough decision. However, if you don’t really know how to use your machine to its fullest potential, and need the cash, why not pass it on to someone more knowledgeable? You’ll get paid, they get some equipment they can use, and everyone wins, right? Wrong. This person doesn’t believe in “all sales are final”.
After selling their laptop to someone that ended up using it for some serious editing, they got jealous! Apparently, uploading expensive programs and using them to do work was enough to get the seller to regret their decision. Instead of offering to cancel the deal, they demanded the computer be given back for FREE! That’s not how this selling thing works. We doubt you have the ability to use any editing software or cool tools. Anyone else wondering how that 9-1-1 call went?
Honest Questions Deserve Honest Answers
A great thing about the internet is that anyone can post a question and eventually, they’ll get an answer. While it may sometimes be sarcastic, they’ll eventually find the info they’re looking for. That doesn’t mean that some questions don’t deserve a massive eye roll or two. Most mothers don’t have to take DNA tests for a very simple reason: they gave birth to their kiddo and there were a bunch of doctors there to sign off on that.
Yes, surrogacy exists. Yes, some people get egg donors. For the most part, it’s pretty clear if a child is related to their mother after a birth has happened. That’s due to the fact that the mom delivered another human being after carrying it for 9 months (hopefully in a sterile hospital room). If you want to dive into adoptions or the chances of a kidnapping then we would be happy to write that movie script together.
What Did You Expect To Happen?
We’re not sure who needs to hear this, but most fruit-flavored waters are packed to the gills with sugar. They’re just a carbonated step away from being branded as soda. Those sweet and fruity flavors can be addicting though. A few fans have even wondered how to transfer those delicate tastes to every aspect of their lives, such as their laundry. Confused? So are we.
This non-chemist-in-the-making just got a crash course in how not to iron. They thought that since irons require water, and their favorite water is delicious, they can use that to give their clothes a fruity scent! The thought process is there, but they forgot one major thing: sugar burns. Sugar burns really easily and can make a serious mess.
In America They Just Might
There aren’t many infant arrests happening in the world. That’s because babies have no idea about the rule of law or basic courtesies like quiet hours. We’ve all been there. We’ve all done that. It comes with being born: babies just have to learn how to handle it. That involves a lot of disturbing moments and nights when some babies can’t do anything but cry.
While it’s annoying, there isn’t much anyone else can do about the situation. That doesn’t mean some people won’t try to do whatever they can to get some peace. Even if that means filing a police report against a crying baby! With no free will or sense of self yet, we’re not sure the court case will go very far.
Which Way Do You Want It?
Being independent, whether it’s physically, emotionally, or financially, is an exhilarating feeling. When you’re finally responsible for yourself and only you, a sense of empowerment can be achieved that not many get to experience. Of course, with that said, that also means you can’t rely on others for things you’re otherwise proud to have on your own. If you’re as independent as your online handle suggests, do you really need someone else’s money to survive?
Or, is this more of a wish list for things that’ll never happen? Does Miss Independent just want to expand her financial empire? If that’s the case, just say that. You’ll get a lot more respect, and maybe even some offers. Have a bit more confidence in your plans or admit your need for dependency.
Well, Are You Familiar With Spain?
Many countries around the world share different languages. Even with specific dialects and versions, many places in the world still adhere to the basic rules of and grammar of Spanish. It’s a wildly popular language spoken by millions upon millions of people of all different nationalities, races, etc. When you end up living in a sheltered and probably a bit ignorant area, these facts can be easily missed.
This great internet philosopher decided to share with the world their belief that only non-white people can speak Spanish. Obviously, they have no idea what other people look like around the world. Clearly this level of racism and ignorance runs deeper than their lack of knowledge of languages around the world. You must be from England if you’re able to type in English, right?
Someone Forgot What Silent Means
Part of being a “silent majority” means you stay silent. We’re not surprised that someone is confused. The 2016 and 2020 US Presidential elections were a big deal. Not only were they controversial nail-biters, but people got very passionate about the candidate they were supporting. Even if you weren’t a fan of the 45th President, some things about this guy’s statement don’t add up.
One of the biggest is that there was no majority in the results that supported the guy. Where’s your majority, silent or otherwise? Nowhere? That’s what we thought. Perhaps they just don’t understand the meaning of the words they’re posting. Good thing someone else, with a fancy blue checkmark, helped explain things to them. Genius.
We’ve Devolved Back To Hieroglyphics
Isn’t it wild how languages can evolve? Before, back when technology wasn’t a thing, humans would leave messages on walls or papyrus in the form of symbols. These visual depictions of events helped us tell stories to the masses for generations. Then, we all learned how to speak to each other and write things down with letters. Fast-forward a few hundred, or thousand, years, and people are back to symbols.
Emojis have changed the way we communicate. They’ve also caused people to forget how to talk to one another outside of a virtual space. Instead of sending XD and 🤣 to a friend, you could just laugh with them in person to indicate that you found something funny. Trust us, they’ll understand what you’re trying to convey.
Please Speak Only In Freedom Units
Not everyone in the world understands global economics and exchange rates. Quite a few people would probably be surprised to find out that the US dollar isn’t the strongest currency on the planet. It’s actually weaker than quite a few other ones out there. Take the British Pound and European Union Euro.
Both often perform much better than the dollar, especially in “foreign” markets. Trying to explain this to someone with no background in it would probably go as well as this conversation did. It’s quite painful. Something tells us that this person hasn’t been outside of the US before…we’re not sure what it is, just a feeling.
Your Presence Isn’t Welcome Anyway
Back in the day, “no shirt, no shoes, no service” used to be the norm. It was a simple and catchy way of reminding people that private businesses could decide who they served. If you want to choose your clientele, open a business. When the pandemic hit, those rules changed a bit to help accommodate as many people as possible.
Things went from, “no shirt, no shoes, no service” to “no masks, no vax, no help”. For some reason, the changing of the wording to reflect the current state of things ticked many people off. Well, guess what folks, businesses still get to decide who shops in their stores. That’s how capitalism works. They’re already not getting your money, move on!
Guys Aren’t The Most Observant
The precept that women are smarter than men can be a bit tired and played out. It can also be incredibly true and there are great indicators of who the smarter sex is. Fellas, we gotta let you in on a little secret: parting your hair doesn’t change where it grows from. Changing the way you comb your hair has no bearing on how it grows or in which direction.
Y’all, if you want to be better and respected you have to use common sense. Even if it’s just once. Take a moment, look at what you’re talking about, and apply some critical thinking. Then, after a five-second break, you can post your question.
She Disproved Her Own Point
Making friends can be hard, especially as an adult. You have to contend with people’s work schedules, different set personalities, and a ridiculous number of other factors. A few people even have faces that may not be deemed as welcoming as others. That doesn’t mean that those with resting bitch faces aren’t friendly. Most of them are super nice and social people.
Their own features just confuse that and give them a serious and unapproachable energy. Some may feel so bothered that they have to go against their initial judgments and let the stranger know how much others try to avoid them. It solves nothing and serves no purpose other than creating a weird moment for everyone involved. He’s obviously approachable enough to insult.
You Can’t Save Everyone From Themselves
There was a lot of misinformation flying around at the height of the pandemic. Some people refused to believe the virus even existed. Others denied the fact that they could actually catch it and get sick. Then there are the non-believers who ended up actually getting a positive diagnosis. These patients did everything in their power to have some sort of deniability about their own status.
That didn’t stop some doctors from trying their hardest to ensure their patients understood what the truth was. A few MDs even had to treat patients that thought they were being lied to and their records falsified! For what? To keep you on life support just for the fun of it? What rational reason would someone have to do something so bizarre? Absolutely none at all.
That’s What A Tour Is About…
The best way to learn about a location is to visit it in-person. Walking through the actual steps of history, both comfortable and uncomfortable, can be an excellent way to get a semi-first-hand account of what went on in certain places. Even when you’re touring a less-than-happy place, like a Southern plantation, there are teaching moments to be had. Not every visitor is going to appreciate those times.
Some of them may even leave bad reviews because they were confronted with the truth. If anyone was confused, plantations were basically all kept up by extreme slave labor and very terrible people. There aren’t many happy moments on them aside from the fake smiles of those that work there now. The grounds may be pretty but the history certainly isn’t.
You Can’t Find Data For Lies
One of the fun parts about scientific research is discovering that you’re wrong. Whenever a hypothesis is disproven, most scientists don’t panic. If anything, these are moments for development and education! Then there are people like this. They’re so convinced their personal, and misguided, views are right that they refuse to accept anything else.
Even when all of the data, facts, peer-reviewed papers, etc. are saying otherwise, they won’t back down. Instead of accepting the facts, they’re willing to burn down their entire thesis just to live in a fantasy land. There is no denying that they may have to think about a new topic here, and possibly some new friends. Good luck with that research!
Some People Don’t Think Things Through
Some major news organizations and publications are known worldwide. These powerhouse businesses also have smaller branch-off projects that bear their name. A good example would be The New York Times. This famous periodical is known for informative articles, fiery political takes, and great taste in books. The New York Times Best-Sellers List is not a political article. It’s just NYT’s favorite books!
The authors featured there are no-less employed by the NYT as the people who own the papermill that still help print their newspaper. Some outrageously political oddballs don’t care about any of that. They see something they don’t like, find a name, and start to rage all over this random author. They don’t even know what they’re mad about half of the time.
Money Doesn’t Always Equal Brains
This old-fashioned idea that intelligence brings about wealth is kind of tiring. Leaders and successful professionals spouting off stuff like this just helps reinforce cliches and stereotypes. Besides, rich people aren’t spending their cash on small entertainment centers and massive reading nooks. They have mini IMAX theaters set up in their bathroom just for fun! After a long day of doing whatever it is that made them rich, people probably just want to veg out in front of a screen ten times the normal or required size.
Some people really need to realize that not everyone succumbs to such nonsensical crap. The only good thing about posts like this is the internet attention it attracts. Someone can become obscenely wealthy in likes when posting questionable comments like this.
Comparing Apples to Hamburgers
When the Covid vaccine first became available, most people were thrilled and saw it as a beacon of hope. Others, like this user, spent their time running their mouths on Twitter trying to make it seem like this shot was the end of the world. We love basketball just as much as the next person, but the players’ and fans’ health always comes first.
If Irving didn’t want to get a vaccine that’s his choice, but we understand why he wasn’t allowed to play. Comparing his situation to Johnson’s made zero sense. The user responding said it best, and if the players did have penetrative sex during a game it’d be a whole different type of entertainment.
Hit The Book Next Time
Conspiracy theorists will do anything to get you to come over to their side. They’ll attempt to incite fear in you and make you think your life will implode before your eyes if you don’t listen to them. Most of us just see their antics as nothing more than something to laugh at, or maybe a bit annoying depending on how pushy they are.
They truly believe we’re the ones who should be laughed at, and their last wish on this earth is likely to tell us they told us so. This user got so fed up with these people that he used that anger to fuel this expertly crafted burn. ‘
The Queen of Aggression
How good would you say you are when it comes to world geography? No matter how bad you think you are, we guarantee you’re not worse than this anonymous user. There are a lot of ways to refer to England, but “Queensland” isn’t one of them because it’s the name of an Australian state.
We can almost see where this person was coming from, it seems they got confused by the mention of the queen. What we don’t see is why they needed to be mean about “correcting” this user. It’s embarrassing enough to be wrong about something like this, but it’s arguably worse when you’re this aggressive about it. It’s a good thing they did this anonymously.
What’d Malaysia Do to You?
What’s your course of action when quarreling with someone on the internet? Most people try sticking to the facts to make their point known. This person seems to go straight to insults in an effort to hurt the other person’s feelings, maybe they’re hoping they’ll drop the argument. We commend the user who tried educating this person about the fact that multiple places can have the same name.
We’d like to give this very confused person the benefit of the doubt and say they just need to learn more, but their anger and rude comments make us unable to do so. You’d think if this person was as die-hard a fan of America as they seem to be they’d know what the American flag actually looks like.
When You Realize That Everyone From a Continent Isn’t Exactly the Same
Many Americans aren’t educated about cultural differences in other regions of the world. We’re especially ignorant about Africa. Ask the next American you see to list 10 African countries on paper and we wouldn’t be surprised if they couldn’t do it. In reality, Africa is one of the most diverse continents on the planet, with 54 countries and the second-highest population after Asia.
With all this in mind, it’s not surprising to say that people across the continent look different. One American, after seeing a reconstructed face of an Egyptian mummy, was shocked that she didn’t look like she expected. “The same Egypt that’s in Africa???” she said. Yes, sweetie. Egypt is in Africa.
Your Boyfriend Needs To Get A Clue
The human body is a wonderful and mysterious thing. For the most part, we have a basic idea of how it works and what we have to do to keep it working. If you have the type of body that ovulates or has to experience the effects of menstruation then there’s a bit of additional stuff you have to do every month.
People who don’t get their periods don’t seem to understand this. Even if they claim to do, that doesn’t mean they understand how everything works. Unlike Netflix, you can’t just unsubscribe from a monthly event like a period. However, if it were an option, maybe more people would want to opt out.
Something About the Carbon Monoxide
There’s an old wives’ tale that hanging an egg in an old sock in your baby’s room will help relieve teething pain. This is because the carbon dioxide in a room supposedly causes pressures on the gums. The shell of an egg can absorb up to seven times its weight in carbon dioxide, making the environment more pleasant for teething.
Meanwhile, carbon monoxide is an odorless, tasteless, and highly poisonous gas that comes from burning fuel. If there’s carbon monoxide in your home, you shouldn’t stay there with your teething child and hope that the egg-in-a-sock trick will work. It won’t. Please call the fire department before things get ugly.
Is That a New Language?
It’s fun to incorporate words from other places into our vocabulary. For some reason, we all like to use random French words from time to time. Of course, no American is going to sound perfect when saying words like “voila”, but that doesn’t mean we should change the word entirely. It’s fine if this user wants to butcher the French language this badly, but she doesn’t need to take her whole state down with her.
We regret to inform her there is no instrument called a “voila”, but she might have an interest in learning about the viola when she’s done berating people on the internet. If she has this much time on her hands maybe she could even take some time to learn how to play it!
A Lesson On Socrates
Cancel Culture is a weird thing. At any given moment, a group of people online can decide they’re done with seeing you succeed because it personally offends them. Then, they’ll do everything in their power to dismantle your career from the comfort of their beds/desks/couches. While some big names who did terrible things have been rightfully shamed, others have had no business being harassed.
This was going on long before “canceling” someone was a thing. Socrates was probably one of the most famous examples. The OP is right, he would’ve been “canceled”. This is exactly what happened to him in his era. Socrates was canceled so hard heads literally rolled!
That Argument Fell Apart
In today’s world, we have a variety of news sources to get information from. It’s not the same world our grandparents grew up in, they had the local paper and listened to the news on the radio stations available. There’s a spectrum of opinions and we can’t be sure what’s true without doing some independent research.
Bitcoin entrepreneur Cameron Winklevoss claims on Twitter that fact-checking is editorializing, which is actually censorship. That’s a big claim. A follower chimed in to tell him what ridiculous things she found about him online. Sometimes things need to get personal for someone to get the point across.
