Iconic Brands That No Longer Exist

Posted by Josh

Hummer

If you asked someone 10 years ago if they had seen a Hummer recently, they would probably have said that day. Now it is not so. The SUVs and trucks were manufactured in the 1990s and 2000s, all due to Arnold Schwarzenager, who badgered the AM General automobile manufacturer until they relented and started producing them.

Hummer

This was all due to ‘Ahnold’ seeing one of the military versions of the vehicle while filming on location in Oregon. In 1992 he would receive his wish in the Hummer H1. But by 2006 and three models released to huge acclaim, the massive gas guzzlers were simply too much to support with rising gas prices, and they would shutter their factories by 2010.
