Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100

This device is a blast from the past in a couple different ways, firstly Radio Shack, a store that has been around since 1921, but after a long run, filed for bankruptcy in 2017 with only a few stores open to this day. Many people cite this laptop, released in 1983, was the starting point for the PC notebook revolution.

With it’s software, disk-video interface expansion box, and a CRT video adapter which allowed you to mirror content onto an external TV, Radio Shack sold over 6 million units worldwide. We’re guessing the fact that Bill Gates personally developed and wrote the code probably had something to do with that…
