Famous Roles Actors Turned Down

Posted by Nil Yan

Marilyn Monroe – Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) in “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”

The author of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”, Truman Capote had his heart set on Marlin Monroe playing the part of Holly, but she actually turned down the part. This ended up being an iconic role for the legendary Audrey Hepburn, and it’s in the Hall of Fame of Hollywood’s classics. Why did Miss Monroe turned down this once in a lifetime role? Well, apparently she thought it wasn’t a good fit for her and for her image. Not sure what she meant by that.
