Warner Bros production allegedly turned to Jake Gyllenhaal after Tom Hardy declined the role of Rick in “Suicide Squad”. But Jake was also experiencing a packed schedule so he turned it down as well. Leaving the role up for grabs, and Joel Kinnaman filled their absence shoes quite well, you would know it was intended for someone else. Wonder who was cast for the sequel?
