Facts We May Not Know About Chernobyl Disaster
Radioactive Rain
Due to high winds and weather patterns, radioactive material was carried from the site of the incident all across Europe. Particles were reported to have spread over 62 miles in the beginning months after the incident took place. Countries such as Sweden, Russia, Norway, and Finland all report increased levels of radiations, as well as a significant amount of irradiated reindeer in the area.

Nuclear rain from these radioactive materials eventually landed as far away from the reactor as Scotland and Ireland.
