Highlight of the Trip

For the divers, one location had been circled on their map from the beginning. And that was Norsel reef, a small island made of a spire of rock jutting out of the sea and a cap of ice at the summit. Icebound during the winter, it has never been explored, and no one has certainly done a dive there, which was the point.

They sought a place that they could say they were truly alone, truly. The day was around freezing, relatively balmy for those parts, and they made the most of it that day.
