How Did it All End Up Like This?

Unlike most of the life on Planet Earth, the Antarctic marine life has remained entirely unmolested by human encroachment, a rarity nowadays. Tens of millions of years of separation from other continents’ the drastic climate shift, as well as the Antarctic Circumpolar Current.

The current swirls its way west to east Around Antarctica, creating a very severe temperature gradient that has prevented almost entirely the migration and spread of marine life outside of this ecosystem. Because of this, an amazing diversity has been allowed to develop and thrive.
