You: The first documented snowman was built in 1380, but we don’t need a record to know that people have probably been making snowmen for as long as there’s been snow. In the Middle Ages there weren’t many options or resources for artistic expression, so building snowmen was especially popular back then.

The snowman is one of the most beloved symbols of Christmas and it started as such in the Victorian era where they started to appear in paintings to greeting cards to advertisements, and became a truly iconic symbol in 1950 with one of the most loved carols, “Frosty the Snowman”.
