Go on any message board, social media account, or star-watching blog and you can find hundreds of stories about fans having uncomfortable run-ins with their favorite actors, musicians, or influencers. When you become a fixture in the public eye, people automatically think they get to have a piece of your time whenever you’re out and about. Sometimes those precious moments aren’t the most comfortable. We understand. Stars are busy people, just like the rest of us.
However, it’s not just us non-famous folk that have these unpleasant experiences. Even other celebrities can catch their colleagues and idols on a bad day! When that happens, some of the tastiest tea is spilled and we get a glimpse at some of the biggest stars at their not-so-brightest. Call the paparazzi and get ready to snap a pic or two, because these celebs are dishing on the rudest names in Hollywood.
James Cordon names Pierce Brosnan
James Corden may not be some people’s cup of tea, but that doesn’t mean he deserves to be (literally) pushed around. While being interviewed by Khloé Kardashian one day (because that’s a thing that happens now) he recounted how none other than 007 pushed him at a concert! Corden was watching a band perform with his wife when he noticed Piece Brosnan was attending the show as well.
After watching the former spy leave the show, Corden decided to get a better view and moved to where Brosnan was originally standing. As soon as they moved, Corden was pushed aside by Brosnan who just happened to come back to his spot! The star didn’t even look at Corden while he pushed him out of the way.
Eric Stonestreet names Gene Simmons
You don’t mess with Eric Stonestreet of Modern Family. You DEFINITELY don’t mess with his mom. If you have a problem with her, then you have a problem with their whole family. While on a flight, Stonestreet’s mom spotted KISS frontman, Gene Simmons. Before she could ask for an autograph or a picture, Simmons reportedly told Stonestreet’s mom that he wanted her seat on the plane. When she declined, he proceeded to bully her!
Naturally, this upset her son who lashed out at Simmons and his bandmate who was traveling with him at the time. Stonestreet told them to watch out because he had some choice words for them. Thankfully, the fight was settled before things went too far. However, hopefully, Simmons learned to have better manners from then on out.
Giuliana Rancic names Ariana Grande
When you’re the new kid on the block, you have to figure out how to act from the pros who’ve been in your business the longest. Sometimes watching where you step can affect your standing in an industry! Many people already know this, but when it comes to the world of entertainment younger stars are trying their hardest to stand out however they can. Ariana Grande is no different!
The young superstar has made a name for herself with some of the catchiest music of the decade. However, multiple stars, like Giuliana Rancic, report that she had a MAJOR attitude that didn’t seem fitting for someone so “new” to the business. During a show, Grande reportedly elbowed Rancic out of the way and forced her to reposition herself on a stage that she was already standing on!
Valerie Bertinelli names Christina Aguilera
Just because someone’s a superstar singer doesn’t mean they constantly want to be approached by others, even if their fans also happen to be famous. Valerie Bertinelli recounted a time when she was blown off by Christina Aguilera. At the time, Bertinelli was married to a member of the band Van Halen. During one of their concerts, she saw Christina Aguilera bopping around enjoying the show.
Upon approaching her to say how much of a fan she was, the singer supposedly didn’t give her the time of day and definitely didn’t want to talk. While it sounds rude, can you blame her? You’re at a concert! Why not focus on the show and just gush over the star later?
Tia Mowry names Charlize Theron
Stars are just like us, they need to exercise to help get their minds right and their bodies in shape. Also, like us, some of them just don’t want to be bothered when they’re trying to focus on their routine. Tia Mowry of Sister, Sister fame decided to hit up the gym one day. When she got there she saw none other than CHARLIZE THERON!
Furiosa was pedaling away on a bike and minding her own business. When Mowry approached her to say hi, Theron responded with an eye roll! When asked about it later, Theron says she doesn’t remember it happening. Plus, since it was reported in a tabloid, how much of that tale is true and how much is just gossip?
Kathy Griffin names Jon Hamm
If you’re curious about what the big names of Hollywood are really like then you need to check in with Kathy Griffin. The comedian is always rubbing shoulders with Hollywood’s elite stars and dishing on all the best tidbits she can get her hands on. However, that comes with the price of being the subject of some very uncomfortable moments. In 2016 she was part of a dinner party where John Hamm decided to make an appearance.
Instead of just being cordial, having a nice time, and bouncing, he proceeded to get quite smashed. After he got some liquid courage he started to talk trash about Griffin TO HER FACE. He claimed the Emmy she worked so hard for wasn’t a “real Emmy”. Then allegedly started making disparaging remarks about her age!
Jon Stewart names Hugh Grant
Jon Stewart is one of the most beloved and well-read personalities to ever grace television. The former Daily Show host is an accomplished comic, political commentator, and interviewer who always knows exactly what to say and when to say it. He also has zero time for anyone’s bad attitude on his show. When he was hosting the Daily Show he was getting ready to interview the hunky and talented Hugh Grant! For some reason, Grant had a MASSIVE chip on his shoulder and an even bigger attitude to match.
Grant complained about almost everything and Stewart wasn’t having any of it. When Grant complained about a clip from his movie being shown (and said how bad it was), Stewart didn’t miss a beat. He just told the actor to make better movies (and then banned him from the show). Later, Grant accepted the ban and even said he deserved it since he was acting like such a brat!
Chamillionaire names Michael Jordan
Michael Jordan isn’t just the king of the court and highly-coveted sneakers. He’s also a celebrated actor and a baseball player who played ball for a little while back in the day. Even after retiring decades ago, fans from all walks of life and professions try their hardest to get a minute of the legend’s time, or at the very least a picture. Internationally known rapper Chamillionaire is just like everyone else, he’s a fan of Jordan!
After spotting him taking photos with some fans one day he approached the athlete and asked for a snapshot of his own. Instead of politely declining, Jordan said no with some extra expletives thrown in for some reason. To this day, Jordan never explained why he gave such a reaction to the musician!
Hailee Steinfeld names Lea Michele
This one is a bit odd since the actor accused of being rude was just doing their job. When you’re working on a television show, especially one as stupidly popular and powerful as Glee, you have to always be on the move. That means you may not have a moment to stop and take a picture with fans, even if that fan is another actor on the lot! Hailee Steinfeld learned this the hard way when she ran into Lea Michele.
The actor wanted a moment of Michele’s time to get a picture. Instead, she was quickly brushed off by a PA and ignored by the Glee star! While we imagine it was a hurtful experience, we kind of get it. You wouldn’t stop someone at the office when they’re in the middle of a meeting, so why stop an actor on their way to a set?
Jennifer Lawrence names Herself!
If you can’t hate yourself then how can you hate other people, right? Jennifer Lawrence has been dubbed one of the highest-paid and most sought-after actors in all of Hollywood. This means she’s had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest stars on the planet! With all the exposure and all of those connections, you’d think she has a few people who rub her the wrong way.
You’d be right. According to Lawrence, the person she can’t stand the most in Hollywood is herself! Lawrence has stated that when she has to go to an event or be around others, her whole personality changes and she becomes rude! We guess that’s one way to defend yourself against throngs of people constantly crowding around you.
Terry Sweeney names Chevy Chase
There’s no beating around the bush here, everyone in Hollywood who’s had to work with Chevy Chase knows he’s one of the most difficult people to work with. It seems the Hollywood legend always has something controversial or rude to say. When Chase and Terry Sweeney worked together on Saturday Night Live, Sweeney recounted that Chase kept making VERY homophobic jokes, despite Sweeny being the only openly gay cast member at the time.
He even suggested that Sweeney should be weighed daily to see if they were suffering from AIDS! While the show made him apologize, there’s no justification for saying something so hurtful. This led to Sweeny deciding that Chase was more monster than man and severing ties with him to focus on other projects.
Shannen Doherty names Alyssa Milano
Charmed was an interesting show that led us into a world of strong sisterly bonds, magic, and high school drama involving not a single teenager or classroom. Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano were both weaving spells and trading barbs while on the show. Doherty and Milano also butt heads nearly every day on set together (whether the cameras were rolling or not)!
It also became a huge hassle for the show’s producer Aaron Spelling. Doherty’s described the working conditions as being too dramatic and lacking any true passion for the project. By the time the third season came around she had had enough of Milano and left the show entirely!
Patton Oswalt names Wesley Snipes
Comedian and actor Patton Oswalt is no stranger to the superhero realm. He had a role in the early Marvel cult-hit Blade starring Wesley Snipes. Despite it not being a comedy, Oswalt didn’t find Snipes’ actions all too funny (and neither did others on the set). According to Oswalt, Snipes let the role go to his head. Not only did he try to strangle the director, but after the incident, he would only communicate via Post-It notes!
Plus, the actor refused to interact with people and would seclude himself in his trailer for the majority of his downtime. Oh, and those Post-It notes? He signed them all as “Blade”. It almost sounds like he lost touch with reality, and Oswalt wasn’t having any of it.
Charlie Sheen names Lindsay Lohan
Charlie Sheen is back at it! However, this time around, he’s not the one someone has a beef with! Instead, he has a beef with another actor who somehow turned out to be just as controversial as him (in totally different ways, of course). Remember Lindsay Lohan? She’s the sweet young actor that helped catapult films like The Parent Trap and Mean Girls to stupidly popular heights.
Despite her talent and skills, things went south for Lohan pretty quickly. After all her success, she got devoured by the Hollywood machine and ended up becoming a bit of a liability for most production companies. Not only was she caught shoplifting on one TV show set, but she kept arriving later than Sheen normally does for his own commitments!
Cheyenne Jackson names Alec Baldwin
Alec Baldwin is no stranger to the odd outburst or serious new story. However, the actor and comedy titan has also been known to have a bit of a diva attitude when it comes to sharing the spotlight with other stars. In the past, he’s been known to bully people so badly that they’ve left shows because he was too difficult to work with.
Cheyenne Jackson had his own uncomfortable run-in with the star while filming a project together. According to Jackson, he learned only two things from his time working with Baldwin: how to have good comic timing and to NEVER get in Baldwin’s light!
John Leguizamo names Steven Seagal
Hollywood staple (and one-time drag superstar) John Leguizamo is a pretty talented guy. He’s an accomplished actor, author, and even lent his voice to the Encanto soundtrack! He’s also been known to be a bit of a wise guy from time to time. Despite that, it’s hard to stay mad at someone who’s done so much good and memorable work. However, he has at least one person that isn’t a fan of his: Steven Seagal.
The former martial-arts-esque actor has a reputation in Tinseltown for having a bit of a temper and not being able to take a joke. Back in 1996, Leguizamo and Seagal were shooting a film together. Leguizamo misheard what he thought was a joke and joined in. Instead, Seagal took the laughter personally and assaulted him!
Will Ferrell names Kanye West
Will Ferrell always seems to be one of those goofy giants that everyone can’t help but enjoy being around. Once you get past the constant screaming for attention, the guy seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. That and he has a good eye for casting some great people in his movies. Of course, that’s not always the case. Sometimes Kanye West gets to be part of a project and almost screws everything up.
West had a small walk-on role in the Anchorman sequel back in the day. Whenever they weren’t filming West’s scenes, the one-time actor kept playing his music at the loudest possible volume! Why? Apparently, he likes the sound of his own voice (shocker). Ferrell said it made shooting the rest of the movie pretty difficult.
Kevin Smith names Bruce Willis
Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah, who has a problem with Corben Dallas? This guy saved the universe and helped Ruby Rhod deliver his BEST broadcast EVER. Okay, this isn’t about The Fifth Element. It’s more to do with the 2010 non-hit Cop Out. Comedic superstar Kevin Smith and action hero Willis teamed up to deliver a mediocre film that wasn’t appreciated by fans, critics, or anyone with eyes.
While Smith looked up to Willis, he said working with him wasn’t a treat. He described being on set with the actor as “soul-crushing”! This just goes to show you: never meet your idols (or star in movies with them).
Sylvester Stallone names Bruce Willis
Bruce Willis doesn’t seem to be the most popular actor to work with. Before he retired, the action star seemed to make a few enemies in Hollywood. Even Sylvester Stallone had some choice words to say about his Expendables co-star. Despite being in the first two films, Stallone claimed Willis was far too greedy (and lazy) to be included in the third installment of the film!
Oddly, another co-star of his would say he doesn’t have enough humility to be part of a star-studded shoot-em-up franchise. Aren’t all of the people in the films super rich and only in it for the money? Who’s watching those for the story?
Nicollette Sheridan names Teri Hatcher
Wisteria Lane sounds like a great place to live in theory, but after watching multiple seasons of Desperate Housewives we’re kind of glad we’re not stuck in the ultra-rich suburbs. Watching the drama from afar was a lot of fun. Unfortunately, even the stars on the show may have wished they could’ve been viewers instead of participants. During filming, multiple reports were made regarding Teri Hatcher’s behind-the-scenes attitude.
While nobody could give specifics, Nicollette Sheridan said that Hatcher is the “meanest woman in the world”! Hatcher never denied the claims but instead said that the past should stay in the past. She also said she would never talk about what happened either! What’s she hiding?
Viola Davis names Jared Leto
If anyone knows how to get away with murder it’s Viola Davis. The legendary actor not only knows her way around the courtroom (on TV) but can also wrangle some of the world’s most dangerous criminals to do her bidding. When she’s not teaching people how to get away with crimes she’s in charge of the Suicide Squad. When the movie was announced fans were treated not only to Viola Davis but also 30 Seconds to Mars’ Jared Leto as the Joker.
Hopes were high, but Davis dashed them all, and with good reason. Leto’s on-set antics were so inappropriate that he made filming unbearable. Leto would frequently send condoms and dead animals to his co-stars to help “stay in character”. Just because the Joker doesn’t respect boundaries doesn’t mean an actor shouldn’t.
Naya Rivera named Lea Michele
First things first: Naya Rivera is an angel and deserved to live a long and happy life. Second: The cast of Glee only seemed to get along for the cameras. That’s already pretty odd since none of them were in high school anyways, so they didn’t need to play those games. However, if you asked Rivera and Lea Michele, they’d say that things got personal and FAST. When the show entered its later seasons, some characters began to get a bit more screen time than others.
Lea Michele became one of the reasons people tuned in every week! According to Rivera, all that attention went to Michele’s head and turned her into a massive diva. This caused a rift between the two actors that never got patched up.
Selma Blair names Charlie Sheen
Oh wow, Charlie Sheen has enemies and ruffled someone’s feathers? Everyone pretend to act surprised. The storied actor may have been part of one of the most successful sitcoms from the early 00s, but he’s also the same person who’s been known to say he’s full of tiger blood and can’t seem to arrive anywhere on time. While filming Anger Management, Selma Blair couldn’t help but raise concerns about Sheen’s work ethic with the show’s creators.
Apparently, Sheen didn’t take kindly to that. Instead of growing up and arriving to work on time, he also complained to the creators! What was his complaint? Blair needed to be fired or else he would walk. Since Sheen was the bigger name on the project, Blair lost her job!
Freddie Prinze Jr. names Kiefer Sutherland
Just because you’re a successful actor doesn’t mean people like to work with you. You can be a huge jerk and still win awards and deliver some amazing television. 24 is one of those shows with a weird premise that somehow hooks people to watch episode after episode. A lot of the success of the show can be attributed to lead actor Kiefer Sutherland.
This guy has been around Hollywood for a while and has earned a reputation as being a pretty great actor. That doesn’t mean his work ethic is up to par with his career. Freddie Prinze Jr. said that Sutherland is one of the most unprofessional people he’s ever had the displeasure of working with. He also has no qualms about saying it to his face! #DRAMA
Channing Tatum names Alex Pettyfer
Magic Mike brought the world a whole lotta men dancing around and showcasing the benefit of supporting your local adult entertainment spots. It also showcased Channing Tatum’s impressive dancing ability, especially while shirtless. Despite all those positives, there were some negative things happening on-set. One of the other dancers was such a massive jerk to deal with that he wasn’t invited back to the sequel!
Alex Pettyfer shook his assets pretty well, but when it came to working with Tatum, things weren’t as impressive. The actor was reportedly so difficult to deal with, and owed money to Tatum’s friends, that he wasn’t invited to be part of the legacy that was the Magic Mike sequel!
Julia Roberts and Nick Nolte name each other
Julia Roberts isn’t just a Pretty Woman, she’s also a massive diva. According to Nick Nolte, that is. And you know what? That’s fine. Why? According to Roberts, Nolte is “completely disgusting”. The two “professionals” apparently weren’t able to get along while filming a movie together (which started the whole feud). Things got so heated that the director had to separate them and made the two film their scenes separately.
Thanks to some movie magic, they were able to convince audiences that they tolerated one another. But the lack of chemistry was VERY apparent to viewers, and just about anyone with a hint of common sense.
Tyrese Gibson names James Franco
James Franco isn’t just a moderately attractive actor. He’s also known for quite a bit of controversy both on and off the numerous sets he works on. Back in 2006, Franco was starring in a movie with Tyrese Gibson. The two stars had to practice boxing to make the movie look believable. Of course, the main point of acting is to play pretend so well that it looks real.
Nobody told Franco that. During the scenes featuring the stars bumping gloves, Franco was actually trying to win the match! No matter how many times Gibson told him to let up, Franco kept pummeling him! In a later interview, he even admitted that he went way too hard during the scene.
Janet Hubert names Will Smith
Before he was synonymous with the “slap heard round the world” Will Smith was (and still is to some) a very respected actor and rapper. During the beginning of his acting career, he starred in a little show called The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. This iconic series features not only Smith but TWO different versions of his Aunt Vivian.
Why was the actor replaced midway through the season? Janet Hubert says she was bullied badly by both Smith and his on-screen cousin Alfonso Ribeiro! Even twenty years after the fact, Hubert claims that Smith’s attitude hasn’t changed since his earlier and more immature days.
Doris Day named Kirk Douglas
Even after his passing in 2020, Kirk Douglas’ legacy is still pretty well-known around the world. The star had seen and done just about everything one could do in Hollywood. As he got older, the actor continued to work alongside the young upstarts and rising stars of the time. That doesn’t mean he did it with a smile.
While filming “Young Man With a Horn”, Douglas was very rude and almost verbally abusive to Doris Day and later to Farah Fawcett on a separate movie set! Douglas described Day as a “remote” person and would also make fun of Fawcett’s name!
Em Rusciano names Gary Lightbody
It’s not just actors who start beef with one another. Sometimes musicians can’t even find a way to celebrate their successes, because they’re somehow embarrassed by them! When Snow Patrol’s song “Chasing Cars” became synonymous with Grey’s Anatomy, millions of people started to follow the band and listen to their music.
During an interview, Em Ruscio and her co-host wanted to talk about it with the band’s lead Gary Lightbody. For some reason, Lightbody was not a fan of the song’s success. Instead of answering their questions, Lightbody flipped them the bird! He then proceeded to keep it flying for the rest of the interview.
Lucy Liu names Bill Murray
Bill Murray always seems to be one of the coolest people you’d ever have the pleasure of meeting. Since he always plays goofy and friendly characters, it’s hard to see him as anything else. The reality is that we don’t really know what these celebrities are like, especially when they’re in a bad mood.
When filming Charlie’s Angels there had been a slight tweak in the scene without Murray’s knowledge. Apparently, that’s what caused him to verbally assault Lucy Liu while on set. Thankfully she didn’t stand for it and gave him a piece of her mind. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect regardless of how “famous” they are.
Kevin Porter names Ellen Degeneres
Remember when Ellen Degeneres was considered one of the nicest and funniest people in Hollywood? Most of you probably know her as the host of The Ellen DeGeneres Show but did you know that she also had her sitcom on ABC simply called Ellen? She’s been one of the big names in comedy for a while, but not all comedians find her act funny.
What started off as an innocent post on Twitter ended up uncovering Ellen’s true identity. Everybody who replied to his tweet had something negative to say about her. It’s crazy to think you know someone only for them to turn out to be a completely different person.
Amy Hill names Mike Myers
Being a successful actor doesn’t necessarily make one a nice person. Amy Hill recounted a time when she was working with Mike Myers on the set of The Cat in the Hat. In an interview with The A.V Club, she admitted that he was less than pleasant to work with as he acted like a total “diva”.
Although it’s a little surprising to find out that one of the funniest and most talented actors we know is a bit of a jerk, it’s understandable. Being a star in Hollywood is stressful and not everybody can stay cool and calm when making a movie. But was this a common occurrence with Myers or was it a one-time deal?

A feud between stars is nothing new, artists have the right to express their opinions about other artists and critique their music. But things get awkward when insults are being exchanged in the middle of a show with a live audience. Sometimes anger can get the better of people and they end up saying something in the heat of the moment.
Adam Levine and Blake Shelton had a little banter on the stage of The Voice. The two were exchanging insults until Levine pulled out the ultimate “I just hate him”. You’d think that at least a few people would side with him, but not in this case. The crowd went silent. It was so awkward you could cut the tension with a knife.
Tommy Davidson names Jamie Foxx
Tommy Davidson is one of the most talented and beloved actors on television. The former star of the show In Living Color shares some of his experience working on set with Jamie Foxx. It turns out that acting alongside him wasn’t as fun as one would imagine. As it turns out Foxx is very competitive and likes to pull mean jokes.
Davidson recalls one particular scene on set when Foxx was trying to pull his pants down for a cheap laugh. Surprisingly, he never got Foxx back for the stunt. Any other actor would’ve demanded he be kicked off set and removed from the series entirely.
Molly Bloom names Tobey Maguire
Molly Bloom used to organize poker nights for some of Hollywood’s greatest stars. You might be surprised to find out that among her many visitors Tobey Maguire was the most frequent. The guy is pretty talented and successful, so it’s safe to assume he has a couple of bucks lying around for a night of gambling.
If you’ve ever played, you know how stressful and annoying it can be when you lose. These games can get pretty heated, it’s not unheard of for people to do crazy things. No doubt asking someone to bark for $1,000 sounds degrading and disrespectful. We guess we shouldn’t expect any better of a Hollywood star with so much cash to spare.

Performing on stage sounds like a glamorous and exciting career to have. But after hearing about some of the drama that happens behind the scenes, we’re glad we have a “boring” life. Watching people perform on stage and screen is a lot of fun, unfortunately, it’s not always the case for the actors themselves.
Marlo Brando was considered a genius actor, he would tweak his performance ever so slightly every time. He was also known as a method actor with chaotic energy. Some might enjoy matching that kind of performance, but Jessica Tandy didn’t seem to think so. Artists sure can be difficult to deal with sometimes.

Dating a successful rapper doesn’t mean getting into fights on his behalf. Not everybody in the industry is out to get your beau just he has a few platinum records. Although, to be fair Jay Z had his fair share of feuds in his lifetime so this story isn’t hard to believe.
Both he and 50 Cent have been in the music industry for a very long time and have earned a reputation for themselves. But that doesn’t mean that trouble follows them wherever they go. It seems like Beyonce has had one too many bad incidents with her spouse and now she gets jumpy whenever she thinks something’s going down.
Anjelica Huston names Bill Murray
Bill Murray might not be the best person to work with on set. Though most of his films are fun and lighthearted, some of his former co-stars had some choice words to say about him. While filming The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, Murray managed to deeply offend Hollywood legend Anjelica Huston.
According to Huston, Murray had invited the entire cast of the movie to dinner except her. There’s a chance this could’ve been a miscommunication, but we can imagine how Huston saw this as a sign of disrespect. We’ll never know what really went down, whatever it was definitely left a bad taste in the actress’s mouth.
