One major challenge to the dominance of the brick-and-mortar Black Friday is Cyber Monday. As e-commerce has taken off and become one of the largest industries worldwide, Cyber Monday has become more of a big deal. With a much wider selection of products, and a lack of necessity to physically be on the store’s premises, consumers are free to go about their days, and spend several minutes of the early morning making sure they grabbed the latest Xbox.

There is also the chaos of Black Friday to deal with. No matter how much you want to price compare, it is rarely worth it to go through the traffic, on the road and in the stores, with many people just looking to save a few bucks.
