One of Clarence’s friends from his war days had sent him a VHS in the mail. The video on it was captured footage of their fight in Cologne. It was turned into a documentary. When he inserted the tape, Clarence was subjected to the memories of that day.

By that point, the memories weren’t as vivid in Clarence’s mind, but the video brought everything back to the surface. And that’s when he saw it: the civilian he had shot down.
