Let’s start off by saying that this is just one of many times we’ve seen this happen. Reddit user posted a picture of how this hotel room likes to keep their individual salt and pepper packets—unopened and packed into salt and pepper shakers. We’re not sure who doesn’t understand how salt and pepper shakers work, but we’ll tell you this: the holes in it are not there because the packets inside need to be able to breathe.

We’re also pretty positive that it’s cheaper and more efficient to just buy salt and pepper in bulk and pour it into the shakers, rather than having to constantly refill the shakers with individual packets.
