She’s famous for competing in and winning in 1973’s “Battle of the Sexes”, A tennis match against the chauvinist tennis player, Bobby Riggs. The match was watched by over 100 million people, and her victory showed the whole world that women can be just as good as men if not better, even when it comes to physical activities like sports.

She’s considered to be one of the greatest tennis players of all time, regardless of gender. To this day, her athletic achievements inspire women and girls around the world.
