When we think of influenciall women, we think of the Suffragettes or of Feminist thinkers, like Judith Butler or Simone de Beauvoir but the truth is, some women kicked ass way before it was cool or even allowed. Take for example the ancient queen of Britain, Boudica. She was born in 30 AD and she was trained as a warrior. In 60 AD she led an uprising against the Roman Empire in which she and her forced killed over 70,000 Romans. Talk about a badass woman!

The rebellion itself failed and Boudica poisoned herself after the loss, but she’s still a British folk hero. With many legends told about her to this day, she’s a symbol of justice and independence.
