Farm life is a serious business, and it was more difficult back then without all the tools and machinery that we now have in the industry today. Farming was always a family affair, and many times, young kids would help with the work on their family’s farm or on other people’s farms to help make ends meet.

Here you see a couple of children that look to be even younger than ten years old, they are harvesting potatoes and dumping them into collection bins. It wasn’t easy work, but it was just part of their lives.
