Scripps College is one of the shrinking number of universities that still only allow only women to enroll. In Claremont, California, it has just under 1,000 students. Among women-only colleges it is one of the hardest to get into. Its campus is said to be one of the most beautiful in America. It has a rose garden and fruit trees, including oranges, grapefruits, pomegranates and even makes its own olive oil. All of these are available to students, of course.
