Ridiculous Reason For Flight Delays Right Before Takeoff

This case happened back in July 2016. Over 400 diamondback Terrapin Turtles were found on their way to New York City’s JFK Airport. Most of them arrived right on the airport’s runways and taxiways, which led to several flight delays.

There’s no additional information as to how these turtles ended up there, but they caused quite a turmoil for all the flights leaving the airport.

We’re not sure how these turtles made their all way the way to the JFK airport, but they were treated well as the staff evacuated them.

It goes to show that whenever you’re planning to fly somewhere, you never know what will happen. your flight could always be delayed for one reason or another.
