48. Don’t Believe Your Eyes

One common theme among these slackers who screw up at work is that they have the mantra “not my job, not my problem.” Instead of going above and beyond to make sure that they’re doing a good job, they simply do the absolute bare minimum and hope for the best. A perfect example is this guy. He slapped this sign reading “Sorry, out of pretzels” on an oven which, to the naked eye, is clearly full of pretzels.

Should he have checked to make sure the oven was empty? Nope, that wasn’t in the job description. He puts signs on machines, and that’s it. What I’m guessing is that he hoped to keep all the pretzels to himself after closing!
