Metal Hairpin

When traveling with my 90 year old grandmother, they confiscated an antique metal hairpin with pearls on it, that she had used for at least 70 years to hold her hair in place.

This was shortly after 9/11 and we did not know, or were we informed, that we could have it delivered back to us. It absolutely devastated her.
