One person told Reddit he had gotten mild food poisoning on the last day while on vacation in the Dominican Republic and was going through customs. His dad and him were pulled aside, detained for three hours, and missed their connecting flight. Their bags were searched and he was taken to a back room and got a full pat down.

The customs agent asked him ‘why are you sweating so much?’ and he was finally released after explaining the entire story, only to have to wait six hours for the next flight across the country.
