A woman was stopped for metal on her purse while walking through the metal detectors. She realized that it was her nipple rings that were the culprit, and even offered to show one of the officers in private to clear everything up.

The officers refused, demanding she remove the piercings before trying to go through again. One of them had to be removed with pliers. She’s probably not flown a lot since.
