One thing that gets thrown way overboard when quarantining for weeks, is personal hygiene. Being stuck at home is a nightmare, both for the fashion police and your roommates, but when you have a video call with your aunt Kathy, it’s like getting ready for the red carpet.

And then it hits you that you’re just going to be sitting in front of a blue screen talking to your great aunt about oatmeal for an hour and a half. Not to mention that she can barely see you because she’s holding the camera directly to her chin because that’s exactly how telephones work, right?

Don’t get me wrong, Kathy is a great gal, and it’s really important that she has someone to talk to every now and then. I just guess that all of those sequins, the showering, heck even the shaving, was all for nothing.
