In 2015, Brayden Faganello was in South Africa for a missionary task from the Church of Latter-Day Saints. Although Laura didn’t know Brayden herself, she knew his cousins, and they seemed to think that they were perfect for each other. They told Laura to write him a letter and even gave her Bayden’s address across the world – but Laura just wasn’t interested.

One day Laura received a call from her brother to say that he had picked up the mail and saw there was a letter addressed to her. However Laura was moving to Brussels for the summer where her parents were stationed, and then off to Spain for a study-abroad program.

Originally she listed the return address as Victoria on the letter to Brayden, but by then she had moved to Brussels. Not only did he want to wish her a happy birthday, but he was also intrigued by her.
