Eric Silver, an appraiser for Antiques Roadshow, tells us to look at the old and outdated computers we all probably have lying around.  “A first edition Apple was bought for $900,000. It’s not technically antique, but it can be worth a lot of money if it was built in, say, Steve Job’s garage,” he says.

Buyers don’t expect these products to still be working, but if they are in working condition they can be worth even more. Even though Apple products are fairly new, they are still a huge piece in the history of technology and are therefore widely sought after.
