Graffiti You Might Not Expect to See

Religion Gone Rock

This religious sign got a makeover, courtesy of some heavy metal fans. These vandals blacked out the original phrase so well that it’s hard to guess what the sign originally said. It could have been something inspirational and comforting, or something more radical. But now it’s an ad for heavy metal music. Slayer fans probably prefer this version of the sign.

Certain regions are more likely to have these types of religious signs to bring people closer to faith. But in this case, the billboard backfired. Now instead of inspiring piety, the board promotes a band. Some might even say the sign is offensive. We wonder how long this version of the sign stayed up.
