Gadgets That We All Used in the 80’s
The VHS Player/ VCR Recorder
Created and released to the market in the early to mid-70’s, VHS became the dominant home entertainment video format by the mid-80’s. At that time there was basically a video rental store on every street corner at that point, filled with those chunky video cassettes. It started declining in the mid-90’s when consumers began seeking other newer options, so those stores like Blockbuster were losing their customers.

RIP VHS, even though we don’t use you anymore, you will still be remembered as the first that allowed us to watch movies at home and even record our TV shows.
