IBM PC 5150

It wasn’t long before the release of IBM’s personal computer that a computer costing under approximately $9 million that required an inordinate amount of space such as about a quarter-acre, air conditioning, and 60 people to keep it running and feed it with instructions. This computer changed all of that, with its small size, fast processor, storage, and price tag- you could get all of that for less than $1,600.

Although this computer was far from the most powerful or attractive-looking, this PC that was created by IBM played a huge role in shaping the computer industry for many functions that were unheard of at the time.
