There comes a point in life when you graduate from the kid’s table to the adult’s. When exactly that time is can be murky, especially if you’re a teen or young adult. It can feel awkward being 30+ years younger than everyone else, the same goes if you’re nearly 20 and surrounded by 5-year-olds. 

It looks like this family has a special litmus test when it comes to the table you get to sit at. If your conversational skills lean more towards cartoons, sorry bud, you’re going to have to hang with the kiddies.
