Some people like to forgo traditional Thanksgiving foods and mix it up a little. This person was thinking a festive cake would be a little more exciting than the typical pumpkin pie. And what better shape and a turkey? It’s the universal symbol of the holiday. Either this baker was a serious amateur or turkeys just don’t make for good cake designs. 

If you want to keep people from eating dessert, this is definitely the way. Your guests will take one look at this monstrosity and completely lose their appetite. This just isn’t the color scheme you want your dessert to have. This person would’ve been better off with a store-bought pie crust and canned pumpkin pie mix.
