Wine is Not a Side Dish 

Some people take the onus of the Thanksgiving meal on themselves, others rely on the family to pitch in and help out. Potluck dinners aren’t unheard of, but they can be risky if you’ve got one or two bad cooks in the family. For those individuals we recommend assigning something simple, maybe just ask them to bring the drinks. Just make sure they pick up enough for everyone.

If one of your Aunties is big into wine, you might want to emphasize she bring separate bottles for herself and everyone else. On second thought, your wine-drunk Aunt might not be the best dinner guest. Better ask her to get soft drinks instead.
