People Clapped Back At Online Haters
Let’s be honest, no one likes an Internet troll. These keyboard warriors sit behind their screens and feel like writing mean comments, purely because they can. Whether it’s disagreeing with another post, or feeling bold enough to spew hatred, these people are either bored and lonely in their lives, or feel empowered by putting other people down. Either way, social media has become rife with nasty comments, some that cut really deep. While some people believe staying silent and not rising to the pettiness is the way to go, others have taken a stronger stance and decided to give the trolls a taste of their own medicine. So, if you’re feeling fed up with the haters, sit back and enjoy some of the best clap backs on the Internet.
Unruly Kids VS Whiny Adults
No one is perfect in this world and as you get older you learn valuable life lessons and the proper way to behave with your peers. However, this comment section took quite the turn as one user decided to have a little rant about the apparent lack of manners and decorum in high school.
But, rather than having their time to shine, another commenter decided to call out this keyboard warrior and question this person’s motives for writing such an unnecessary comment. Not only did they come back with a brilliant clap back, but they also went one step further to back it up with official metrics to show how the older generation doesn’t behave any better.
Don’t Mess With The Millennials
There has always been an apparent divide between millennials and boomers. Many boomers have the opinion that millennials are entitled and spoiled, when it is quite a generalization. As one boomer took to the comment section to make a snarky comment about millennials being humbled, another person decided they’d had enough of the condemnation and snapped back with a very strong response.
Citing traumatic past events including 9/11, the economic recession, the housing crisis, student loan debts and the detrimental fallouts from COVID-19. Honestly, it’s been a tough pill to swallow for millennials and before the boomers start pointing fingers, maybe they should have a look at the actual facts.
How To Scare A Troll 101
Given the profanities that Jason is using, we can only assume he harbors some serious resentment for this YouTuber. Whether it was a recent upload or his character in general that ticked off Jason, he took things to a very serious level. It’s never ok to threaten someone on social media, you wouldn’t do it in real life, so why do people think it’s fine via message we really don’t know?
Quite rightly, this hate-filled message received the perfect response and rather than blocking Jason, this fake auto-reply alerting the police department of a severe threat was quite simply genius. Jason probably had a mini heart attack when he saw this message!
If It’s Not On Instagram Did You Even Go?
Instagram might be a highlight reel of your life, but could you even imagine going on vacation and not snapping a picture for your feed? Yeah, us neither. After all of that planning, money spent, and anxiety to ask the boss for annual leave, posting that vacation selfie lets your followers know, “I made it!”
So, when this person clapped back with a response that all of us were thinking, we can only thank them for normalizing making the haters jealous. Plus, if you’re sitting on an island sipping a cocktail, how will you ever recall that exact moment without taking a picture?! Post away kids, we want to see you summer snaps!
Who Knew There Was Such A Thing As A Hair Color Predator?!
Red flags are everywhere these days. You could be dating someone who is controlling, possessive, or shady, and understand that these are clear red flags you should avoid in relationships (whether you choose to or not.) Alexander, however, decided that hair dye is a tell-tale sign to stay away from these women.
For some reason, he deemed the hair color to be reflective of their toxicity. Huh? Yeah, we don’t get it either. Thankfully, Julie G came to the rescue for all hair dye lovers with a fantastic clap back explaining that this warning coloration is to ward off predators, not partners. Now, it’s clear to see Alexander is the toxic problem, not the hair dye!
Stay In Your Lane, America!
It’s no secret America has a huge problem with gun violence. The fact that kids over 18 are eligible to purchase certain types of guns has led to a huge increase in school shootings. Thousands of innocent children murdered! As other countries look at America and are thankful that they don’t experience similar issues, some Americans seem to think we all want to be like them.
This user in particular, Stone, was expressing their upset for Australians for having to give up their guns, but their tweet was not met with a favorable response. Aussie, Steve, decided to reply with a strong clapback, protecting his fellow citizens and reiterating that the rest of the world really doesn’t want to follow in America’s footsteps.
Talk About The Pot Calling The Kettle Black!
Tomi Lahren is an American conservative political commentator, and quite honestly, she’s not the most popular person on the air. Known for her outspoken views and unashamed comments, she often takes to her Twitter to express exactly how she’s feeling. When LA was experiencing some warm weather, Tomi decided to remind everyone that the city is still full of “Snowflakes.”
While we understand what point she was trying to get across, she wasn’t really the one to be talking. So, when Sam Stryker decided to remind her when she flipped out over someone calling her the wrong name, there wasn’t much of a rebuttal that she could come up with!
Talk About Being Humbled In Public!
Once in a while, everyone loves a mini rant on the Internet and in most cases, Twitter is the place people choose to do it. While they might find it a nice release, they sometimes forget that it’s a public platform and someone will probably ridicule them online. When an Amazon employee took to her Twitter to complain about her grueling work hours while unemployed people were getting government aid, things took a turn!
Another user took the opportunity to remind her of the situation she’s in, in comparison to people living under the poverty line. In all honesty, he has a point, if you’re getting a salary from Jeff Bezos and complaining about it, why not take it up with the company?!
How To Make Someone Feel Really Stupid
American singer Bette Middler really thought she was doing something when she posted a picture of three young girls sitting on a bench at New York’s Museum of Metropolitan Art on their phones with the caption “What’s wrong with this picture?” While she tried to imply that this generation can’t get off their smartphones and appreciate their surroundings, the reality was quite different.
As Darryl pointed out, the Met has an app that teaches the story behind every portrait because they can’t afford staff to educate in person due to budget cuts. So, these girls were actually just trying to learn about the iconic works surrounding them. Bette must have felt rather silly!
Keep Your Head Out Of My Business!
This person’s comment started out fine and then got progressively worse. We assume they were initially trying to express their indifference to people’s sexual preferences, but then it quickly took a turn when they said they didn’t want it rubbed in their faces. Our society has come a long way and if people want to show their affection for each other in public, they should be able to (within reason!)
Another user took the opportunity to turn the first comment into a joke by saying that they should keep their face away from certain areas if they didn’t want any rubbing! Crude, yes, but it is quite hilarious if you ask us.
When Everything Fails, Just Try Again
Good old Donald Trump, he absolutely loves an all-caps Twitter post. Sometimes you can’t help but think he’s shouting in every tweet. In one post, he wrote that “Those that deny their history are doomed to repeat it!” In fairness, he has a point in this, but as the old saying goes, you need to practice what you preach.
So when another user recognized the contradiction in his statement, he decided to call him out for it. Trump’s casinos haven’t seen much success, leading five of them to close down. So, instead of accepting his history and moving forward, he denied it all and opened up a sixth casino. Good luck Donald, hope it’s better this time.
Don’t Throw Stones Into Glass Houses
How you choose to spend your time is entirely up to you but when you start getting at other people for what they choose to do, don’t expect them to take it without a fight. When this user attempted to ridicule gamers for how much time they spend on their consoles, he went one step further and likened it to being a functioning alcoholic. An unnecessary and harsh comparison if you ask us.
His comment wasn’t taken lightly and another person did a little digging on his Twitter, only to find that he was sending an average of 40 Tweets per day! If that’s not an obsession, we don’t know what is. Maybe he needs to chill on the phone.
When The Search History Doesn’t Lie
We’re pretty sure the advertising team at Hulu had a field day with this one. A post that needed no replies seemed to get a frustrated bigot all riled up. Randy took his opportunity to write an angry comment to Hulu when all of his advertising on the platform was for medications for gays. Now, unlike Randy, the person who replied to his post is clearly well-versed in targeted ads.
The reason why these were the advertisements that popped up for Randy is that this is what is most prevalent in his search history. Hulu isn’t just giving him ads that have no relation to him, there’s a whole business behind this! Randy must have sprinted to clean his search history after that clap back.
The Big Fast Food Fight
From the second we read this clapback we knew exactly what chain restaurant this was about. We can attest, the fried chicken sandwiches are worth the hype, but the fact that they are often at the center of anti-LGBTQ+ controversies is also quite off-putting. This debate is one that has been going on for years since their political stance was brought to light.
But, people just want to eat their chicken in peace so one user decided to make his opinion known that if other people don’t like it, they don’t have to eat there. Someone from the opposite end of the debate decided to clap back and question why Christians care what gay people do, there were really no further remarks to make.
Playing The Old Blame Game
The debate about which generation has caused the most damage to our planet could go on for a long time. Boomers believe it is the millennials and Gen Z and vice versa. From single-use plastics to petrol-guzzling 4X4s, and multiple plane trips a year, the boomers believe it was the younger generation that caused it. But, the comment on this post makes a very valid point.
The boomers were running the country at a time when all of these toxic products were becoming a constant feature in everyday life. If you think about it, the younger generation were the ones who it was brought upon, they didn’t create it themselves. So before you form an argument, consider the facts or expect a strong and valid clap back, just like this one.
Honesty is the Best Policy
We’re glad it came from Hallmark first because we can all agree their movies are far from Oscar-worthy performances, but they might have just made up for all their bad films with this cracker of a comment. Jessica is clearly one very unhappy viewer who has a serious issue with Hallmark being inclusive in their productions.
Instead of writing a generic response, the social media manager at Hallmark decided to go all out in their response; and what a response it was. Exclusivity is the problem, not inclusivity, and it is overtly clear that Hallmark has no intention of changing their casting direction anytime soon. Plus, they have a point, gay people also enjoy sipping hot cocoa by the fire, you can’t really argue with that one!
Here Comes Karen in Full Force
This review of a retail store screams Karen. The review isn’t just whiny and petty, but they also capitalized words to make it more dramatic – a classic Karen move. But, as it turns out, this review is completely fake and was only written to cover up the real story of what happened in the store. Kudos to the owner who decided to clap back at this imposter and expose the true story as it happened.
Well, it seems that this person wasn’t even able to purchase any of the items they deemed to be “JUNK” because they were seemingly refused service. While no one enjoyed wearing a face mask, we all did it to be upstanding citizens and protect ourselves, and other people from becoming seriously sick. Clearly, this Karen wasn’t happy with the mask rules and decided to take their frustration with an angry (and false) review. These people should always be called out!
Yet Again, The Boomer Gets Burned!
Boomers love to play the blame game on the younger generations. They’re too lazy, they complain, they ruin the economy, they don’t work hard enough, they don’t have morals, they’re too woke; the list goes on and on. We’ve all heard the criticisms, but most of the time, there’s no point in picking a fight when their opinions simply won’t change.
On some occasions, the complaints just get too much and you can’t help but say something back. This person came up with such a brilliant rebuttal that they managed to kill two birds with one stone. First, call out the boomers for their criticisms, and call them out for ruining the economy. We’re not surprised it got 7,300 likes!
Masculinity Judges: Ghosts of Insecurity
Self-appointed guardians of masculinity like this Instagram user seem to forget that true strength lies in embracing diversity and individual expression. Wearing a dress doesn’t diminish one’s manliness; it showcases the courage to challenge societal norms. To the Insecure Instagram Ghosts, it’s time to take a long, hard look in the mirror and confront your own insecurities. Real men support and uplift each other, celebrating the freedom to be authentic.
So step out of the shadows, shed the judgment, and let’s create a world where masculinity is defined by compassion and acceptance, not by narrow-minded expectations. You can be a hater from the shadows or come and join the party!
When The Comment Section Gets Crazy
We’re pretty sure this journalist, Miranda Kulp, wasn’t expecting nearly as much drama in her article about the younger generation’s dating habits. It seems that the millennials were not happy with the boomer blame that carried most of the article and decided to play their own blame game in the comment section.
First, it starts out with not letting young people do the things they enjoy, then the comments move towards the divorce generation and how boomers have projected insecurities upon their children, then they start targeting the hippies, voting, college, and finally it ends with the anticipation of all the boomers dying off. It was quite the hilarious tirade if you ask us.
Talk About Swallowing Your Words!
People on the Internet are very quick to judge without knowing all the facts of the story. Whether it’s condemning individuals on how they live their life or telling others what to do, people should probably just mind their own business if they don’t know what’s going on. When ‘fractal-phony’ decided to call out someone for eating takeout food, hoarding makeup, and clothes, and buying the latest phone, this user took the opportunity to call them out for their ignorance.
Hitting back, they expressed that maybe ordering takeout food is the only way someone could feed their family while they go to work, perhaps the extra clothing comes from donations, and maybe they should stop judging an entire generation for how they live their lives because in actuality, they have no idea what’s going on.
A Mighty Clash of Generations
When people from different generations start arguing in the comment section, it usually becomes a case of pointing fingers about which is worse than the other. Generally, the millennials are too quick-witted for the boomers and tend to come up with the best clap backs.
The classic boomer response to millennials is that they are spoiled. As if we haven’t heard it all before. This millennial was taking no prisoners when they replied with this hysterical comment citing the total discrimination that was deemed to be acceptable and the norm in their society. Honestly, what do you even reply to that?!
Karen Has Entered The Chat
If there’s one person you are probably going to get publicly ridiculed by, it’s gonna a comedian. Karen clearly thought she was going to tear Steve apart with her negative comments attacking his laziness, motivation, and even his legacy. Well, Karen, we’re sorry to tell you that you didn’t stand a chance with this one.
Steve warmed up with some sarcastic responses which seemed to rile up Karen quite nicely, but it wasn’t till Karen went in for the kill with her comment about Steve’s apparent lack of education. But little did she know what was coming. Steve managed to completely shut her down with his honors level diploma in American history from Columbia University. Better luck next time, Karen!
If You Don’t Have Manners, You Don’t Get a Drink
Depending on the night you go, bars can get really crowded so having a respectful environment is very important for owners. One angry customer decided to write a negative review after visiting a bar and being dissatisfied with the service they received. They went after the bar, the music, and the manager, and after seeing the post, the owner clapped back with this amazing response.
It’s really not that hard to wear a mask if the bar requests it when you’re ordering a drink. It’s also completely ignorant to assume that a man has to be the manager, when in actual fact, the man he spoke to was the barback. This bar is just following rules of the state and protecting their staff, how rude of them!
Why Is It Always The Antivaxxers?
There’s nothing wrong with having an opinion, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts, but forcing your beliefs onto others and suggesting their life has gone downhill because of their decisions is absolutely wrong. This person crossed a line by mocking someone’s appearance, disabilities, and health problems. But, instead of staying quiet, the other person clapped back with an outstanding response that even had us cheering from our seats.
Pigeon on a chessboard perfectly describes the attitude of this ignorant human. Right? Maybe do some research before attacking people for something you know absolutely nothing about. Or, just delete your social media accounts, just a thought?
Look At The Sunday Paper, Ok Boomer
Some people have a really skewed idea of how to get higher-paid jobs these days. Just because person A might have certain aspirations, doesn’t mean person B will have exactly the same. It’s the most blatant boomer attitude that they suggest getting a job from looking in the Sunday paper, we have this thing called LinkedIn now, sir.
Thankfully, someone saw their comment and clapped back with another one that we definitely approve of. It’s always those people who feel hard done by in their own lives that take to social media to have a little rant about finances. How about you focus on your life, and everyone else will do the same too?
Sorry Megyn, You Lost This One
American conservative journalist and media personality, Megyn Kelly, is not the one to shy away from voicing her opinion on the air and online. Unsurprisingly, she is not a supporter of the Biden’s so when she was watching the Eagles game and heard a reference to Jill Biden that she wasn’t impressed with, she took to Twitter to post an insult about the First Lady.
Of course, she got a ton of responses, some supporting her disdain for Jill, while others challenged her comment. But one of the strongest clap backs was from a military veteran’s podcast account, pointing out that the commentators were right, and Megyn was in fact wrong. That’s got to be embarrassing.
Everything Has A Price Tag
British singer and Grammy nominee, James Blunt, has sold millions of albums and concert tickets around the world. Some of his greatest hits include “You’re Beautiful” and “Goodbye My Lover” earning him an extremely successful career. When a troll decided to post a harsh tweet about Blunt, he probably didn’t expect the singer to see it, and certainly not to reply to it.
This is probably one of our favorite clap backs, it is simple yet completely genius. In just five words, James Blunt publicly humiliated this man, yet also took the opportunity to subtly suggest how rich and successful he is. The troll must have been salty about this one! You’re beautiful James, and your tweets will always make us laugh!
Getting A Little Too Touchy
Who knew it was such a big deal to touch your face? Apparently progressive males touch their faces because they want to be like women? Yeah, we’re equally as confused. People will genuinely come up with anything these days to further their bizarre agendas. They create problems with anything, no matter how big or small the problem is.
The first reply was spot on, and the second reply hit the nail on the head. Is masculinity really that fragile? What has happened to our society that a minor gesture means something so great? While it’s a minority of people who actually think like this, you have to have questions about their education and morals. Nonetheless, excellent clap back here!
Everyone Has A Different Type
There’s someone in this world for everyone and even though you may not find someone attractive, there is someone else who will think they are the most beautiful person. However, The Red Pill Dad may have taken things a little too far with this tweet. Yes, he’s entitled to date whoever he wants, but there’s no reason to be so harsh about other people and their life choices.
Quite rightly, his tweet was met with plenty of anger and hateful responses (we can’t imagine why!) But, one woman decided to clap back with this amazing response that put the Red Pill Dad right back in his place. She’s entitled to a preference too, and instead of her criteria revolving around appearance, it cuts deep and goes straight for his background and emotional damage. You go girl!
