Landings for some people can be stressful affairs. Especially for people afraid of flying, the landing is a harrowing experience, never knowing what will happen until they are safely on the ground.

Sometimes pilots unfortunately come in a bit too hard for the landing, giving the passengers a bit of a scare until the plane comes to a stop.

On one such occasion, the airline required the first mate aboard to greet passengers as they disembarked. He tried to avoid their eyes until the last passenger came, who was a venerable lady.
