Famous Movie Lines That Were Actually Improvised

The Fellowship of the Ring

The first installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy features a lot of fiery, passionate moments as characters are pushed to their emotional and physical limits.

In order to sell one of these moments, Viggo Mortensen, who plays Aragorn, decided to improvise an action with very real consequences.

The Fellowship of the Ring

Seeing bodies scattered around after a battle, he kicks a nearby helmet out of frustration. The problem is it wasn’t a prop helmet; it was real metal and Mortensen broke his toe in the process.
