Facts We May Not Know About Chernobyl Disaster
Suicide Squad
When they realized the risk of a second explosion, a team of three men were delegated to go down deep into the reactor to drain the water out. The men who volunteered had the option to not go, but they did anyway. It was extremely humble. No one applauded or cheered them on, and the men stated they were just doing their jobs. These three men were called suicide divers, as no one expected them to make it out alive.
